Greetings from Fr. Jozo

Christmas 1997

Our dearest God-parents,

Many of you are our long term family members. Each day we learn how to be more grateful and recognize more fully the love which you have shown.

We have grown accustomed to your love and your friendship and it is with you that we look forward to celebrating a joyous family Christmas.

Thank you for yur fiathful perseverance in caring for our parentless children. Thank you for your prayers which unite us as a family. Thank you for all of your material support which is a sign of love, a love of divine quality.

Christmas is a family feast which brings peace and hope into the sad and wounded families. It is a feast that brings ur riendship with god and each other to life. It is a feast in which everyone is important.

You are important to us. By receiving your Godchild, you have received Jesus, and have opened your door to Him. How noble is this truth which always brings tears to my eyes. As you love this child whom you are able to see, you love Jesus whom you cannot see. As you answer to the needs of this child, as you pray for him and share your bread with him, you do so with jesus.

Your Godchild sits at your family table with you in your heart and yet, in his place, Jesus Himself sits. How happy is your home! How blessed is your family!

Dear friends, may the newborn Jesus, our God and King, fill you with His peace. May He bless your life and your work. May He bless you with a new strength in the New Year so that you may persevere in your good works. May peace and joy return to you and all yours through the heart of the Godchild you so lovingly assist. May Our Lady, the Queen fo Peace, continue to console and bless you.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 1998!

Your,
Fr. Jozo Zovko O.F.M.
